is part of the education provision of the East Riding providing
activities which include supporting vulnerable pupils, inclusion
and those who are gifted and talented.

Breeze is an online meeeting room and training
system, provided by Macromedia, that enables learners to take part
in real-time meetings from any computer with internet access, combining
video, audio and collaborative tools in an exciting way.

Moodle is a content management system that
complements lessons taught in a virtual classroom by providing anytime,
anywhere access to resources, quizzes, homework, videos, discussion
boards and chat rooms.

LearnLinc is a virtual classroom product provided
by iLinc that enables learners to take part in real-time lessons
from any computer with internet access, providing the convenience
of access from any location with many of the features of a face-to-face
lesson.

A partnership between the East
Riding of Yorkshire Council and the BBC is being developed through
learnXpress to bring the audio-visual resources of broadcasting
together in an interactive format to benefit the learning of children
and young people in the East Riding of Yorkshire area and beyond
into the Humber region. The BBC exists to enrich people’s lives
with great programmes and services that inform, educate and entertain.
Its vision is to be the most creative, trusted organisation in the
world. It provides a wide range of distinctive programmes and services
for everyone, free of commercial interests and political bias. They
include television, radio, national, local, childrens’, educational,
language and other services for key interest groups.
