The Digital Learning Community serves the educational needs of learners of all ages, backgrounds and
locations via a range of electronic communication media.
In order to understand how the DLC operates it is worth taking a look at the diagram on the page available via the
link below:

John leads the ICT strategy for the Local Authority which includes the Digital Learning Community. Prior
to this he was Headteacher of a successful secondary school, a post taken up after a number of teaching roles in schools in Hull and London
spread over the past 30 years. His subject expertise extends across chemistry, science, technology and, of course, ICT.
The DLC described here is the culmination of bringing together the advisory and distance learning arms of the East Riding’s provision
for schools. John seeks to extend this provision to cover the range of ICT training and support services required in the current
developmental stage of ICT for education, both within the East Riding and beyond.
